A lot of speculations have been made regarding the transfer of Nicolai "device" Reedtz from Ninjas in Pyjamas (NIP) to his former CS:GO team Astralis.
The two organizations have supposedly been involved in discussions for the inactive AWPer for some time now, but they have not been able to reach an agreement regarding his buyout amount due to NIP reportedly demanding €1,000,000 EUR ($974,500 USD) for the Danish player.
As per the latest report by Jaxon, NIP has now brought this amount down to a six figure amount and the transfer price for device has now been allegedly agreed upon by the two parties.

After a lot of supposed discussions and negotiations taking place between Astralis and NIP, the buyout price of device has reportedly been fixed at around €600,000 EUR ($584,700 USD).
This comes following earlier reports that NIP had initially demanded a sum of €1 million for the 27-year-old AWPer. However, they now seem to have dropped his price tag significantly, settling for an amount closer to his earlier purchase.
The half-year finance report of Astralis from 2021 (Jan to June) had revealed that device's transfer amount to NIP was around 4.5 million DKK ($700,000 USD).
Considering that device has been away from the competitive circuit since December last year, this seems like a great deal for NIP to settle on as it does not seem to have any plans of introducing device back into the active roster anytime soon.
Right now a big cloud of uncertainty looms over device's gameplay and performance due to his extended absence from the competitive scene. He has not played a single game this season so far.
No doubt device has been grinding the game hard on FACEIT, playing CS:GO on and off since February 2022 and taking a more serious approach since the start of this month. But then again, is this enough to justify the alleged transfer fee?
