More than 10,000 children’s sleepwear — nightgowns and pajama sets — sold on Amazon are subject to a recall due to flammability risk and burn hazards.
On June 30, two new recalls were issued on the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website. Read on for more details.
About 9,100 sets of children’s pajamas sold on Amazon are being recalled due to posing a burn hazard to kids, the CPSC says.
This recall involves Kids Tales-branded children’s 95% cotton and 5% elastane pajamas.
“The children’s pajamas fail to meet the flammability standards for children’s sleepwear, posing a risk of burn injuries to children,” the recall states.
No burn incidents have been reported so far, the company said. However, consumers should immediately take the recalled sleepwear away from children and contact Kids Tales for a full refund.
“Consumers who purchased the pajamas will be asked to destroy the garments by cutting them in half and send the recalling firm a photo of the destroyed garment,” the recall says.
“Upon receipt of the photo, consumers will be issued a full refund of the purchase price.”
The product was sold online at www.amazon.com from November 2021 through April 2022 for between $13 and $33.
About 2,000 children’s nightgowns sold on Amazon are also being recalled due to a violation of Federal Flammability Standards, the CPSC said.
“The children’s nightgowns fail to meet the flammability standards for children’s sleepwear, posing a risk of burn injuries to children,” the recall says.
This recall involves two styles of iMOONZZZ-branded 95% cotton and 5% spandex children’s nightgowns, sold individually or as a set of three.
Consumers should immediately take the recalled nightgowns away from children and contact iMOONZZZ for a full refund, the recall states.
Consumers who purchased the nightgowns will be asked to destroy the garments by cutting them in half and send the recalling firm a photo of the destroyed product. Upon receipt of the photo, customers will be issued a full refund.
The nightgowns were sold online at www.amazon.com from June 2019 through May 2022 for between $13 and $39. No burn incidents have been reported so far, the recall says.
