SAN ANGELO — Continuing the explosion of coffee businesses across the San Angelo area, the newest upcoming coffee house promises Louisiana classics and style.

PJ's Coffee of New Orleans, a franchise that started in 1978, has locations throughout Louisiana, New Jersey and most southern states, including Texas. One of several upcoming franchise locations will be at 2902 S. Bryant Blvd. in San Angelo, according to the website.

This location was previously a Shell convenience store.

The menu includes hot and frozen/blended coffees, teas, smoothies and hot or cold chocolate made with Ghirardelli chocolate. Food options include pastries, breakfast sandwiches, beignets and sandwiches for lunch.

There is also the option to make it "eat fit," which alters drinks and smoothies for customers wanting lighter choices. This includes no added sugar in coffees or teas, fat-free milk or less than a teaspoon of added sugar in smoothies and blended coffees.
